Ownership connections between Paddington, Harry Potter and Gravity

There are ownership issues with Harry Potter being a British Film as Harry Potter was produced by Warner Brothers, which is an American Company. However everything was filmed in London, and filmed with British actors. This questions it being a British film, or an American film.
The Americans got confused with the terminology used in the film such as saying "mum" instead of "mom".  JK Rowling refused to change the terminology, however as the series went on, Rowling allowed some changes to be made, if they were not to be changed, it would confuse the audience.
Gravity is another British film that raises confusion whether its an American film or British film. The movie uses American actors George Clooney and Sarah Bullock and also by involving NASA in the film, which is located in America. This creates confusion to people as they question themselves whether the film is American or British.
